Born on August 8, 1984. As a son of Makoto Nakamura, Masanaga began participating in dojo activities in full swing after graduating from university, learning the basics of Karate instruction from his seniors. His talent as a Kyokushin fighter started to bloom in 2007 and soon earned him the 2010 All-Asia 75kg title. After winning several regional tournaments, Masanaga established his name in Kyokushin by placing first in the 2013 All-Japan Weight Category Middleweight Division. Then, he challenged himself to compete in a heavier division in 2015 and won the Light-Heavyweight Title. Masanaga followed in his father's footsteps and represented Japan at the 2015 World Championships.
A Leader to Guide Coming Generations

When the I.K.O.N. was newly established on December 5, 2016, Masanaga was appointed the Director, "Daihyo", to supervise organizational operations domestically and internationally. Since then, he has energetically traveled to Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Africa to hold seminars to expand international branches. His instructional skills are highly backed up by the quality techniques he demonstrates himself. His strategic approach in Kumite is so unique that even experienced Shihans and Senseis are often impressed with its originality and logic. His humble and lively personality lends him genuine interactions with international students.
Masanaga boasts strong management skills and adaptability. He spearheads four major events each year and recently held the first World Tournament, which brought tremendous success to I.K.O.N.
These strengths he nurtures are closely integrated to shape the driving force for I.K.O.N. to move forward. Under the proficient guidance this young leader provides, the organization is set to navigate future members through the ever-changing conditions of the world and continue expanding well into the coming generations.
