December 11
Black Belt Exam
-
The black belt exam will take place at Hachioji Sports Center between 9:30 and 12:00 on Monday, December 11.

The branch chiefs whose members are taking the exam are allowed to sit at the head table as observers. Other country representatives are not as space is limited.

Students with a brown belt and over may participate in the Kumite exam to fight with the Dan candidates. The Branch representative is required to inform Honbu of their names in advance. During the exam, they are required to wait at the rear of the gym until the Kumite portion begins.

The Dan candidates and sparring partners must have punching gloves and shin/instep guards.

Students and families who wish to support a candidate are only allowed to observe during the Kumite portion from the spectator’s area.

Video taking is allowed, but posting the video clips to the social media channels
is strictly prohibited. -
Test results will be announced by December 31 via branch representatives.

Resources
Many Dan candidates fail due to lack of their knowledge about Kata and I.K.O.N. Ido Geiko. Be sure to prepare yourself.
International Training Seminar

The international training seminar will take place at Hachioji Sports Center between 12:30 and 14:40 on Monday, December 11.
-
Arrive at the venue at 12:00 to check-in. No ticket, no training.

According to the seminar schedule, we do not run a sparring session this year. But just in case, bring your shin/instep guards and gloves (Head Gear for children and teens) as we might be able to run it if time is allowed.

Spectating is NOT allowed due to limited space. Taking video clips is allowed but do not post them on SNS such as Facebook.

Souvenir will be handed out at the training seminar to the seminar participants only who actually came and trained.

International Conference

The international branch chief conference will take place at Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel between 16:20 and 18:20 on Monday, December 11.

The conference will be conducted in the English and Japanese languages. If you are a non-English speaker, please consider accompanying an interpreter with you.

Branch Chief Dress Code: White Branch Chief Jacket, a tie, navy dress shirt, black pants.

HDDO Dress Code: Business Formal (Suits and a tie)
-
Interpreter Dress Code: Business Casual (Suits and a tie preferred)
-
Lunch will be served between 14:40 and 15:30 for the branch representatives below.
Sayonara Party
-
The Sayonara party will take place at Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel between 19:00 and 21:00 on Monday, December 11.

The branch chiefs and HDDOs: By taxi straight from the Oji Sports Center after the conference. All other participants need to take public transit or taxi from their hotels.
-
Dress Code: Casual to formal. No sandals or flip-flops. Team Tracksuits are acceptable. A T-shirt and jeans are not preferred.
