The farewell party for the 1st World Karate Championship was held with the largest number of attendees ever.
After the highlight movie of the tournament was played, the winner, Genki Kamei, appeared to a standing ovation.
This year's toast was led by Shihan Dmitrij Videnin, head of the German branch.
The athletes and related parties who had fought in the fierce matches gathered together and spent a warm time celebrating the common bond of karate.
Freed from the tunes of the battle, the faces of all the athletes were filled with expressions of elation and relief.
A match creates a bond that can only be understood by those who have fought. Although most fights last less than 200 seconds, when the fists are exchanged directly, a friendly conversation takes place, as if old friends are reunited, regardless of country. The sight of the athletes praising each other's efforts was beautiful to see.
